This June, I had the joy of photographing a beautiful elopement at Cragfont Historic in Gallatin, Tennessee, with my husband Ryan officiating. Together, we got to witness a day full of connection, laughter, and twinkling eyes.
We met the couple a month prior to hash out every detail, from ceremony logistics to personal touches. Ryan handled the paperwork and the ceremony planning, while I focused on capturing the moments they’d remember forever. From the very start, it was clear: this couple oozed love for one another. Every glance, smile, and gentle touch told a story of deep connection.
The ceremony itself was unforgettable. Some of the shots we captured are already among my favorites ever- those tiny, intimate moments when they looked at each other and the world fell away. The twinkle in their eyes, the quiet joy, and the laughter made every frame glow with emotion.
After the ceremony, we let loose. They ran around the property, danced under the June sun, and shared a first dance that only the three of us witnessed. It was playful, free, and completely unfiltered- exactly what makes elopements so special. There’s a level of intimacy and authenticity in eloping that’s hard to match with a traditional wedding.
